Default Icom IC-91a

Hi,
I am looking at buying an Icom IC-91a and have a very simple question, does anybody have one or know what the scan / search rate is?
Thanks
Paul

I have one - great little radio. I installed the UT-121 DV module making it a 91AD. I am at work now so cant look up the actual specs in the manual(you can google it) but its got a pretty quick scan rate which I use often.

Thanks for the reply.
I have looked at the manual 3 times and I still can not see what the scan or search rate is...
Could somebody who has one tell me a rough number, is it 10 channels / second, 30, 50

This is the only thing stopping me from getting one.

Paul

Dont let that stop you. Read the eham reviews. Mostly very positive.

Thanks,
I saw the reviews and they all sound good.
As this will be used mainly as a scanner the scan and search speed is important to me, no point getting it if the scan speed is too slow.

the t90a is speced at 40/channels a second and it's a generation older. I'd wager that it'd be at least that.

my 208 does 40, 50 a second, i'm not sure exactly how fast, but it's good.

my pcr100s, on the other hand, are dogs - you can't scan any faster than about 15, 18 channels/sec on those or you miss transmissions.
