Default Hearing 165.9125 in NW Montana

Hi
Can anyone tell me if there is a BATF station or possible agent in the Boundary county area of Idaho? I get comms once in a while on that freq. Mostly 10 codes so far.
BATF CH. 5 operations or BATF F-09 operations or ATF F5 Surveillance
Any help would be appreciated.

I just heard this today... sounds like it might be some border patrol operations since it is unencrypted and most of the border patrol operations are unencrypted in the area.

I am in Whitefish by the way on Big Mountain.

Hi Gilligan

My radio is not set up for PL tones. Needs an CTCSS board, BC890XLT scanner. old timer but works. Plan on getting a new scanner sometime.

Hi Blanton

I think that 165.9125 freq. is for BATF and not for CBP as that's what it's assigned for. But you never know. I only here it once in a while. As for encryption try 163.1250, very encrypted!
As are some other freq's I here. All you hear is a squelch noise and can drive you nutty! Ha Ha
