Default How Much ISP Low Band Can I Hear?

I'll be in Illinois in a few weeks and during the rest of the summer, I enjoy chasing low band skip that comes into northern New England. So I've been wondering just how much low band action I'll hear from the Illinois State Police these days? How extensive is their use of low band now that Starcom is up and running?

Thanks!

Jim

Low Band is all but gone with the ISP these days. The only traffic I have heard in the last 6 months were some weigh stations in District 2.

Most ISP cars have had the low band antennas removed.

I've seen some DNR trucks that still have the low band whips still installed, but I don't think they're using it anymore, either. I'm usually hearing them on Starcom.

The IDOT is still using their low band equipment. Most on 123.0 pl.

Saving the taxpayer countless thousands of dollars using equipment that still works fine..............hmmmmmmmmmmmm........who would have thought that could happen in Illinois?!??!?!?!?!

Regards,
