Default Starcom Type

What is the type for Starcom P25 Standard or Mot Type II P25? I use freescan to program my 996XT and import from R&R I just did some programing on my scanner for starcom and it made it a Mot Type II System. Before i programed it tonight it was P25 Standard which I used Freescan and R&R then too.

All 9600 all the time...

If you have the radio set to P25 Standard then there should be no choice on Baud Rate, as P25 Standard is 9600 automatically.

When you have it set to 9600 do you lock onto the data channel? Press Hold on the system and make sure you are on the control channel and see if the radio displays the System ID (140) and site number.

Remember also that with an XT in order to make it work with PRO96COM you need to have the freq programmed into a System and Site, just putting it into a Quick Search won't cut it.

Yes i have it locked on the control channel and in p25 standard. I have Pro96com set up for my port etc and still get nothing. Only thing I can think of I'm doing wrong is useing the front port on the 996XT. Maybe it does not work on the front and need to use the back.
