McLean County Fair
Hearing PD on McLean Co Tac 1. EMA was on the McLean County EMA Starcom21 talkgroup.
Any other talkgroups/frequencies being used at the fair?

Yes! I was going to post these last night but it got too late.
It seems the interstate center where the fair is held, now has NEW simplex ops channels.
I have not yet checked to see if there are licenses for these??
Interstate cntr F1
461.0875 / D606
Interstate cntr F2
462.7625 / D315
Both of these are heard as simplex so far.
I've heard nothing on the old interstate cntr freqs listed in the RR database.
Also, traffic on several other frs channels heard as well.
Forgot to add Mclean EMA was heard using TG 30364 as well.

A 4th channel (probably the last one) was found this afternoon, but used seldom enough that I wasn't able to get a lock on the tone yet.
461.1625 mhz. likely with a dcs tone.

Looks like the McLean County Fair and the Urbana Sweetcorn Festival rent their radios from the same place. Champaign-Urbana wiki - SweetCorn Festival
I'll put in 461.3125 DCS054 that you heard to see if it's used in Urbana next year.

I'm hearing Starcom21 McLean County Tac 3 TG 30352 with Bloomington PD at the fair. Also heard County EMA TG 30364 but I didn't hear enough if that was being used out at the fair. Any simplex or repeaters being used this year?

I didn't go, but I'm guessing there still using those simplex radios listed in the Db. I have heard their sheriff command post on county tac 3 also.

The UHF freqs heard at the 2011 McLean Co Fair are also used at the 2011 and 2012 Urbana Sweet Corn Festival. And even more interesting, I found that Eric Carlson posted that those same freqs are used at an event in Texas. If anyone is going to the fair in 2013, I recommend checking the freqs in that link as it appears these radios being used are all programmed the same.
If you're at an event and are hearing a few of these freq/tone combos, check Eric's page for the complete list of frequencies in those radios.

I was recently told by one of our local gurus that the interstate center in bloomington, has a couple different frequencies, compared to what we have in the database. Those radios are pitifully weak even though I'm less than 5 miles from them.
Guess it's time for more detective work.
