Probably need to buy the programming software from Scannermaster.com and do it yourself. Not sure of anyone that programs in the area.

Learning how to do it yourself is very rewarding in that it will teach you more about the things you will hear, as well as how your radio operates!

To add to that - what happens if something happens and the programming gets fouled up? Are you going to pay someone 2x to fix it? Nah...learn it now, so that it saves you the expense.

This article contains links (anything blue) to just about everything you need to get started. Note that we have links to the Easier to Read manuals at the bottom - you can pretty much discard the garbage manual Uniden supplied;

You could use freescan to program it. All it would cost you is whatever the USB cable price is(unless you have the cord already).

Or you could always program by hand. It's always good to know how to do so you can make adjustments on the go.

Recommending software is fine, but frankly, this misses the point. If you don't understand how DMA works, no matter what software you use, it's going to be pretty hard...take the time to understand how DMA works, what quick keys are (there are several types, depending on what you want to do) and how to set up your groups before you do anything...Mike

Channahon is all VHF high band , do like i did and go to www.markscanners.com and download the "Easy to program" Uniden 346XT...With the 346XT u cannot listen to the new IL-Starcom as that model is not digital capable...Press "Menu", scroll to "New System" and follow the directions creating a CONV- system....Its very laboring now to ask someone to program these new type scanners by hand (which i have done) so as mentioned here software is the answer after u learn the scanner somewhat first....Just follow the menu.....
