Default SW MA 1 and M MA 1

I have heard, throughout the night, traffic on SW MA 1 and units advising ground control is on M MA 1, is there an active search going on right now somewhere, anyone have any info.... It does sound like several departments in some sort of search, maybe at one of the state parks...Im picking SW MA 1 up off the Jasonville tower so I would assume its something east and south of Terre Haute

It's in Jackson County involving at least the Brownstown Fire Department, DNR, and the Jackson County SO. BFD seems to be the agency in command. I haven't been able to pin down what is going on, but they are looking for someone for what ever reason. I have heard references to ATV's and trails. ISP Copter 5 joined the search about an hour or so ago.

What was odd was I heard them say to go to SW MA1 because they said the DNR guys didn't have M-MA1 in their radio's. If that is indeed true that's a major programming error on the part of who ever programs the DNR radio's.

Ok thanks for the info Scannerfreak, yep I just heard copter 5 also asking someone to shine there light so they know its them! LOL If the copters up, chances are high it might be an offender search

but then again, I'm thinking I might have heard something about a car down a rivine but they couldn't find tracks leading away from it, but the vehicle lights were on, does Jackson County have a State Park?

I don't know. With the fire dept. and DNR involved it sounds more like a missing persons search. Could be either though. Unfortunately I do not receive Jackson County direct, but there is a feed here that carried them. Might be something there in the archives.

Here is the feed:

No, Jackson County does not have a state park. Closest one would be Brown County.

I caught a bit of that traffic. I'm pretty sure it was Jackson-Washington State Forest:

DNR: Jackson-Washington State Forest

I didn't hear enough traffic to determine for sure if it was a missing person or criminal search.
