Default newb question

How can you get Vigo County Central dispatch Programed in to a 800 mhz radio or even the fireground channels. RX only is fine.

A Maxtrac will not work since most of Vigo is on Safe T or EDACS witch they rotate on a set of 800 freqs every time a disp goes out how ever they do simulcast on some VHF freqs still I guess you could put them in a radio and change the channel every time they do but it would grow old fast and hard plus if they use digital you would not be able to hear them anyway on a standard maxtrac does not do P25

Even if you don't want to transmit, the radio has to be issued a state ID to be recognized on the SAFE-T system. You can only do this if some type of public safety agency gives you permission. So another words, the radio has to be issued by an agency to receive or transmit signals on the SAFE-T system. All the SAFE-T radios I've seen in Northern Indiana have been of the Motorola XTS variety. These usually start at about $2000 and go up from there. I would buy a scanner.
