I don't know if people have look at Terre Haute database it has been update about Terre Haute Fire / Terre Haute Police Department . It says , Terre Haute Fire and Police will be transitioning to the Indiana Project Hoosier SAFE-T system in 2009. Plus , check out Vigo County Talkgroups on Indiana Project Hoosier SAFE-T System ?

In a THFD dispatch last night, the Central Dispatcher did add "Terre Haute". This was still on the TH EDACS system, though. Maybe in prep for going to SAFE-T on VC FDISP.............

I been working at station 1 , witch is on 1st st. heading south , witch is on 25 spruce st . and mark told me that they are waiting on the radios to come in . So he can rip out macom radios out of fire engines / ems cars / fire stations too .

Well its now Oct 13th and nothing has changed. firefighter213, do you have any more info as to the timeframe on this thing?

start watching for these "holdout" TRS to start moving to Safe-T.... TH is the first.

a note here IMO i think Indy wont move till SAFE T goes full p-25 witch i dont know when that will be

Marion County MECA will not be moving to Safe-t.They are very happy with the system they have in place at this time.This infomation was checked out by me after talking direct with the head of MECA by a telephone call.MECA is P-25 and they have just encripted some of there talkgroups.

I don't know , when Terre Haute moving to Indiana Hoosier Safe-T System ? But, Terre Haute Fire Department still has not got their NEW motorola radios , in yet . I hope they get it soon , I work for Vigo County Fire Department , an we have those motorola radios and we can't wait untill Terre Haute Fire Department switches to our channel , so we can be all one system ! So , I will let everybody know when Terre Haute switches over to Indiana Hoosier Safe-T System . But , the macom's radios are not the best radios at all , plus all they do cut out everytime .

I can't wait tell TH switchings to Hoosier Safe-t System , because these macom radios , don't work so good at all , plus motorola radios are time better radios .

How can they put THFD / VCFD on the same talkgroups ? How are you so post to hear THFD traffic , when you got VCFD traffic too ?

I 'm so sorry those channels do not work ! I can only hope I can save money up for an Bearcat Digital Scanner !

Try 154.310, thats County Fire simulcast. It still worked a couple months ago.

Ya , I agree with that , but all I listen to is THFD , plus do you know how they are going to run VCFD / THFD on the same talkgroup witch is 3360 talkgroup ?

The SAFE-T patch for VCSD to EDACS is down....Doty must be on vacation as it hasnt been restored yet.

Those sheriff talkgroup and indiana state police talkgroups , never work at all , but they always shut off , an on all the time . I would start listen too the digital talkgroups . I heard from an sheriff dispatcher that they are shuting down there sheriff analog talkgroup . All police are on these digitial two-way radios : XTS 5000 and all fire departments are on these analog two-way radios : XTS 2500 , all in Terre Haute (Vigo) area . THFD has'nt made the switch over to Indiana Hoosier Safe-t System , with VCFD channels or talkgroups , yet . THPD is going too , VCSD talkgroup on the digital side . Well , anying ?'s please do ask me , if you have anying ?
