Have you seen any TG changes yet?

Looks like it's time to reprogram all my scanners.

Thanks for the updates. I am hearing a lot more now than I was earlier this morning and have not reprogrammed though.

Question... WIll the agencies using the SAFE-T use both it and the HCTRS, or dedicate to one or other....??? *Noticed a lot more HC agencies have SAFE-T tg's now than when I lived up there...*

As far as law enforcement, the only Hamilton County SAFE-T radio traffic you will hear will be ISP. You will pick up Boone and Tipton County radio traffic if you are monitoring the Hortonville tower. But you will rarely, if ever, hear HCSD on SAFE-T.

I did hear Westfield Fire on SAFE-T a few weeks ago, but it was only for a short time.

Some ISP troopers assigned to Hamilton County do have EDACS radios and you will hear them on the Hamilton County system. Any unit with a 51XX will be ISP.

I meant as far as the Hamilton County agencies, since like Noblesville has a lot of new TG's on the SAFE-T now in addition to the Westfield tg's... Will they use both systems?

No, they are going to stay with their own EDACS system. They are just rebanding the EDACS system, not changing to the Motorola system. The central tower near the jail will be switched over to a taller tower at some point to increase coverage.

So to answer your question no, do not expect to hear them on SAFE-T. Those TGs are there just in case they are needed for a major emergency. I am not even certain how many radios the county has that can even operate on SAFE-T. Someone else can probably better answer that question.

The last I heard Westfeild was the only one in Hamilton County that got radios for Safe T all others including west feild where only going to use it if a major event happens also I was told that the new EDACs radios and some of the older ones can support EDACS as well as Safe T dual mode radios if the Safe T template is programed in. As far as the EDACS system plans are moving forward on rebanding with some delays and the new tower still a ways down the road the new dispach center is coming along some delays and all users will still be on the EDACS system in Hamilton County. Look for a lot of radio testing and CC changes also bypass mode"two CC operate as two systems Carmel on one Hamilton County on the other during work on tower sites" most of time system should be as normal work times seems to be happening around 2pm to 5pm"strange times" till the change over to rebanding happens

Ahh was wondering when Noblesville suddenly had like ten to fourteen tg's pop up on SAFE-T listing lol. I know HCSO detectives and all have SAFE-T ability, and Westfield has both....

Is it related to the stabbing in Carmel?

I must have that TG locked out for some reason.

Default 911 Service Down

Just heard that 9-1-1 service is down in parts of Hamilton County. AT&T has been notified.

The 9-1-1 outage is in the Sheridan area. A dump truck damaged a fiber optic line. Still has not been repaired yet.

What is the status of the EDACS system. I see the database has a new LCN and I am getting nothing with it.

Has not rebanded yet. That is on hold indefinitely until other radio issues get resolved. Use the old LCN for now.

No problem. They actually switched over one day but it was unintended and things were not working quite right. I was just about to reprogram my scanners then some of the other members here told me to hold off on that and it was good advice.

Just a question - does Hamilton County simulcast any SAFE-T traffic on their EDACS------the Vigo County Sheriff and ISP SAFE-T Talkgroups are simulcast on the Terre Haute EDACS system.....
