Default Grant County Fire

The last few days, been hearing Grant County simulcast all of their fire calls on VHF County Fire as well as SAFE-T TG 38528, 27 FIRE DISP.

Wirelessly posted (LGE-VX9100/1.0 UP.Browser/6.2.3.2 (GUI) MMP/2.0)

It would a simulcast of vhf on safe-t. I do not know of ANY fire dept in the county that has converted to the safe-t system.

I did not say or imply anyone had converted. I just said dispatch had been simulcasting their fire calls on VHF and 800

Maybe an indication of things to come? The FD's in Delaware County are slowly but surely moving toward getting on SAFE-T.

All of the dispatchers must not be doing it then. Friday night, they had a woods fire somewhere and then a house fire in Van Buren, every time that dispatcher talked, he put it out on both 800 and VHF.

Grant County does not require simulcasting. It is merely an option. Most 2nd and 3rd shift dispatchers will simulcast so the patrol units will be able to hear the dispatch.
