Default Pro 107 - Indiana SAFE-T reception?

Can the pro 107 receive the Indiana SAFE-T frequencies?

The analog talkgroups, yes. But all ISP, Dearborn County Police/Fire/EMS are using digital talkgroups which your Pro 107 will not receive.

You won't hear much on analog except some mutual aid, INDOT, and some IDHS.

Yes, there are many. The three main brands are GRE, Radio Shack, and Uniden. You can research them all here and read the pro and cons of each.

any suggestions on the mosy cost effective? I would most likely use it as a radio to use for another kive radio reference feed...

If I were you I'd hit the Aurora Radio Shack on Black Friday. I heard they will have the Pro-106 digital scanner on sale for $299.00. It's a great radio and that's a pretty good price. You can also find used ones of the various brands fairly cheap from time to time here in our classifieds section. Check your PM's.
