Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (Linux; U; Android 4.0.4; en-us; DROID RAZR Build/6.7.2-180_DHD-16_M4-31) AppleWebKit/534.30 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0 Mobile Safari/534.30)

So I've discovered the Homepatrol and the IDPS simulcast system do not play well together when mobile. I'm using a Motorola 800 gain antenna that seems to work well enough on the Safe T system. Must be overloading or just be picking up too many sites to decode properly. Audio just cuts in and out. Tried the attenuator and it didn't seem to make much difference either.

I hear IDPS just fine mobile with a Radio Shack rubber duck antenna that radio shack sells( Radio Shack part #20-283).This is the rubber duck that is 6DB gain for 800Mhz and states that on the back of the package.I have this antenna on my Uniden 396T, 396XT,and a Uniden Home Patrol HP-1. IDPS is great in my area of Northwest Marion County

Yes I am am talking about being mobile with a Homepatrol HP-1,Uniden 396T, and a Uniden 396XT. A handheld in a car with a rubber duck antenna is a mobile.

I use an NMO mounted 800 specific antenna on my trunk lid. The gain antenna with the coil.

I also use a Comteleco All band low profile mobile antenna model number 07-540719 on the back of my 2005 Buick and I still have no problems with IDPS or Safe-t.Scan Master sells the same antenna that I have.

I listen to IDPS a lot while in Indianapolis on a HomePatrol -1 with just the stock Uniden antenna and it sitting in the center console of my SUV while mobile. I don't have any problem monitoring them.

Here is a couple videos I posted on youtube; the first video is a bit shaky, the second one I got smart and used a camera holder to cut down the the shaky syndrome.

SCANMUNCIE, Great video package and great audio on your HomePatrol HP-1. The audio is the same quality that I am hearing on the Northwest side of Indianapolis.Thank You for your post.

I would imagine the antenna I am using is just making the signals hard to decode. Picking up too many of the same signal from too many towers maybe?
