Mark Anderson is asking about the Greenwood Safe-t tower site. The Control channel is 853.375 and the alternate is 852.900

No, he is not. He was answering me and Usswood is correct, I am looking for someone to physically verify the tower CC. I know what the DB says, but think it is incorrect.

Default p25 equipment

Heard last week, equipment being delivered to sites in SE Indiana. I'm going to assume it's the p25 equipment. Techs mentioned several sites around SE In.

Jeff.

Question Control Chanels?

I hope this is the correct thread, so here goes. I travel to Indy several times a year, and have SAFE-T programmed, but hear very little of the State PD. I noticed that the control channels listed in the data base do not match what is shown on the IPSC inter active map. []IPSC: Home. All the controls are 861 to 865 MHz, the RR DB has them in the 853 to 859 area. Which is correct? I can't find dates on either chart, so I don't know the latest one.

The RRDB is correct and up to date. SAFE-T has been rebanded, and is beginning upgrade to P25 Phase 1. First of the new sites is the Master Control in Indianapolis. Site 149. Testing at this stage. Other sites should be appearing very soon down south.

Some info on the new Safe T system change over if it has not all ready been posted

Work has already started on the Indianapolis Controller #1 and is up and running in test mode. The new P25 will be 9600 P25 Phase 1 with a upgrade to Phase 2 way later if so chosen to do so the new system will support that.

Both the old System and the new will be online at the same time and cut over will happen a little at a time. Witch means you will want both systems in your scanners since some users will be on the New and some on the old for a period of time. This means that the new radios will have dual programming templates in them.

Each region may take weeks to cut over. Current XTL/XTS radios will work on the new system. MTS 2000 MCS 2000 MTX LTX and Spectra will NOT work on the new system hence a lot of agencies are trying to find funds to upgrade there radios. New talk groups in some areas will be set up so be looking for that.

This will be a 2 zone system and no longer 4. All rebanding was done a long time ago so for the person asking on CC they all should be in the 850 to 859 range and the RR DB is up to date other than the NEW P25 9600 site online now at a CC of 855.9625 in Indianapolis.

You will also see a lot of CC changes on the old system as new systems come online and testing is being done.

Sorry if some of this has been posted before just want to pass it on if it has not

Almost every site of the existing SAFE-T Legacy system is adding new freqs to prepare for traffic growth on the system after the upgrades. there are also a lot of new sites that will be built over the next 3 years, as well as existing county/municipal systems converting over to the SAFE-T P25. Full transition is expected to take an additional 2 or so years after the full upgrade is completed in 2015/16. Expected final termination of the original SAFE-T system by 2018 at the latest. (Optimists say late 2016).

I am unable to pick up safe-t traffic in Wabash county on my pro-2096, I have the controls freq of 852.97500 and alternate of 852.48700, I have also updated my table for 800 re branding. It has been a few months since Ive turned on my scanner and it worked great. Any suggestions?

TIA

It's a radio ID sir! Most likely on the edge of that tower and keeps affiliating / deaffiliating with that tower

Here are two other ID's in that range:

41993 ISP 22 ISP State
41995 Motorola Motorola State
