After I get west of Marion County on 56Th street west of Raceway Road going west I get the control channel for Hendricks County Simucast just fine on my Uniden 396XT. I do not get the contol channel on 56Th street east of Raceway Road in Marion County. I do hear Hendricks County takgroups just fine thru Boone County Simucast for safe-t.

I was informed ipsac has now gave the go ahead to start the process to go to p25 dont know if this will hurt anyone's scanning capability not sure what it will do at all other than cost everyone on the system money to program or purchase radios that are compliant and I believe dates I was giving were in 2014

The P25 overlay will take 3-5 years if everything goes right. It will be upgrade to P25 Phase II capability, in compatability mode to begin with until everyone gets TDMA capable gear. I am not sure if there will be a whole new buildout of 700/800 MHz sites to add coverage etc, or if they are going to just upgrade the existing 800 MHz to ASTRO 7.X... Will be interesting to watch the transition.

Update, I believe this talkgroup could be Floyd County Jail. I heard "J354" calling "Control".

Any J numbers are jail call signs. Was this on the Safe-t site or the new proposed 800mhz?

SAFE-T.

Do you know who 22-50's, 22-60's, and 22-90's are? I figured out 22-70's are Georgetown PD.

Thanks! That would be great.

It now sounds like I am hearing GPD as 22-60's. I thought at one point I had logged them as the 70's, but maybe not. 22-90's sound like they could be civil process units.

All sites in the database for SAFE-T have been updated to include their neighbors - listed using the ALIAS names that are transmitted over the control channel and decoded using TRUNKER, TRUNK88, Unitrunker, etc.

I've heard this TG pop up several times now on the Pike and Knox county towers. Several times they were doing surveillance on someone while driving (there was multiple units, each one taking turns following the person). After listening to todays traffic, it sounds like they are in Evansville and going to execute a search warrant on a house (on Missouri St). I do not know which agency this is though.

Default Unidentified T/G's Vanderburgh County

Two T/G's are being used today on site 428 Henderson,Ky. 20272 D & 20280 ENC. Sounds like L/E looking for someone with a warrant. Of course I can't hear anything on the ENC channel but garble. I'm guessing U.S. Marshalls maybe.

US Marshalls do have talkgroups on Safe-t across the state.

Wirelessly posted (Opera/9.80 (Android; Opera Mini/7.5.33361/29.3417; U; en) Presto/2.8.119 Version/11.10)

I listen to the Marshals all the time around my area on their ops 1 channel. They seem to be careless about giving private info out like Soc #s and addresses. Ive been lucky to hear a minute of FBI chatter before they went encrypted.

I logged RID's that I have tagged as USMS on both of those talkgroups today. They are definitely related to them in some way.

I just set up the Hendricks County Public Safety feed (#13998). I'm getting very few comms (on SAFE-T or the county-wide system) using a HomePatrol-1 and Diamond SRH789 antenna located Northfield Drive and Southport Circle in Brownsburg. RF Power Plot shows good, strong, and steady signal when monotoring the primary control channel.

I have loaded all the SAFE-T site frequencies into the radio but I am filtering them by location which has narrowed it down to only a few sites including the Boone and Hendricks county simulcast sites.

Am I missing something here or have I been listening to the Marion County feed which rocks 24/7 too much?

Thanks in advance,
Cary

Cary, if you aren't hearing Hendricks County traffic, you may have something set up incorrectly. The 32-HCP-DISP talkgroup has a fair amount of traffic since all law enforcement agencies in Hendricks County are dispatched there. Granted, not as much traffic as Indianapolis/Marion County. From my location on the west side of Brownsburg, I receive the Hendricks Simulcast site very well with my HP-1 and I receive the Boone Simulcast site well enough to get good audio. I'm just using an 800 MHz rubber duck.
