New thread started for 2013...

2012 saw rebanding of the entire system, as well as a few new talkgroups and counties joining in.

What does 2013 hold? Who knows, but please post all your questions, comments, info regarding Project Hoosier SAFE-T here.

Steve - could you close the 2012 thread and sticky this one?

New Talkgroup on Indy safe-t tower

I found talkgroup 1344 and this is not listed in the RR database. sounds like Brown County State Park. Taliking about a lodge and behind a lodge needs snow removed. Will monitor and will advise KD4YGG, Can you confirm if you have this talkgroup?

Which Indy SAFE-T tower... one at IGC or at ISP Post?

Due to proximity of your location, I seriously doubt it is Brown County State Park.

I'd guess Fort Harrison State Park on the east side of Marion County - they have a lodge.

PS Instead of posting a whole new thread for every TG you discover, it might make more sense to post in the already existing SafeT sticky thread.

The thing is, I saw the stuff on UT&T88, but I never heard any voice coms. BTW, I've heard two Mound"s radios (VID not LE) on Summit Lake TG. That may be a shared TG. Happy New Year

Gibson County going all to SAFET?

So I heard beginning in January 2013 all of Gibson County, IN will be using the SAFET system and no longer their VHF system? Or possibly just the Sheriff Dispatch ? Anyone have any information on this? Thanks.

I'm hearing what sounds like Brown Co State Park units on SAFE-T TG 1344, which is listed in the database as "DNR HARRISON". Hearing this on the Bloomington site. Just FYI.

According to Wikipedia there are 25 state parks in Indiana. I wonder if they are sharing TGs among parks instead of creating 25 separate talkgroups?

I will keep my ears on and advise also.

Not sure if the jasper posts bounces Gibson traffic Since Gibson does not border Dubois???

Also be advised I've noticed lots of counties moving to nexedge in the area

I don't believe we've had anyone confirm they've heard Fort Harrison on that talkgroup. It was initially reported as hearing Brown County on it. I have changed it to Brown County until we can confirm it's a shared talkgroup. It seems a little geographically off to have those two parks share a talkgroup, but I suppose it's possible. It appears some, or all, of the DNR officers have these talkgroups in their radios. I've seen some of the DNR guys affiliate with the Versailles Park talkgroup.

Thanks for the info :)

Wirelessly posted (Opera/9.80 (Android 4.0.4; Linux; Opera Mobi/ADR-1212030829) Presto/2.11.355 Version/12.10)

District 34 and 35 share the same talk group, so their traffic will be there no matter what. However, P-MA1 may not be carried on the Princeton site unless someone is affiliated. Same with Gibson county to any other site. They generally allow one county surrounding with a site to allow affiliation.
