Default Whitley County Columbia City not rebanded?

I was traveling through Whitley County with the custom band plan programmed in and found I was not hearing any activity that was showing on the control channel. I took the control channel and programmed a new system without the custom and band plan and began to receive digital audio traffic. What gives? Is not all of safe-t rebanded? This happened on some other sites too, I would hear analog traffic but no digital, even though it was showing on the control channel. Any help is greatly appreciated! The custom band plan I am using is 851.025 - 854.000 440 + and 851.0125 - 868.9875 0 + both with spacing of 25khz. This plan works okay in Lake County, Allen county public safety, and all of Ohio Marc's, so I think I have it all entered right. The only thing I can think of is may e everything isn't rebanded yet.

The entire statewide system was rebanded in 2012.
Might check your programming...

Default New SAFE-T Site in Harrison, OH (IN-OH Border)

Saw on the MONIX list that a new SAFE-T site is being licensed for far southeast Indiana in Harrison, OH. This is right on the IN-OH border near Dearborn County.

Frequencies: 851.4750, 852.4375, 852.9375, 853.4750

Can anyone confirm the site is operational?
And if so, Site PCC and ACC's, CT tone, ALIAS, neighbors, NAC, etc...

Thanks

Awesome.... I thought I was hearing things when suddenly there was traffic on 16.... I have an PRO-92 used to monitor DOT, and DOC on SAFE-T, that usually was showing 16 with no audio (well documented issue with the original model).

Also, IN mod, time to open an 2014 thread.

16 on most Motorola Legacy TRS's is like an universal TG (which is why it shows as an phantom on the original PRO-92's that used subaudible decoding....... So it may be like a systemwide ATG?

Update;

According to Yvonne Dowd that represents the SCSD, "We no longer use the 800 MHZ radio. We now use low band digital. Law-Enforcement channels are scrambled, however the emergency responders are not."

What the heck is low band digital, I still see tiny antennas.

Not certain, but I'm guessing she's meaning "low band" as in lower than 800. I checked the license for a couple of vhf freqs listed under Scott Co. SO. and they are licensed for NXDN.

Jeff.

A lot of agencies that have VHF and 800, usually call the VHF "Low Band", and the 800 "High Band". Same for agencies that have the UHF/800 split.

Scott SO is VHF NXDN with Encryption on, as is ALL Scott LEA's.

When Plainfield Police Department in Hendricks county used to be dispatched by MECA. They referred to their 155.310 repeater as "Lowband" Some of the old frequencies are still being used. Sheriff of Hendricks County used to have a countywide repeater on 154.815.Now since they are on safe-t they use 154.815 as a countywide car to car channel. Brownsburg Police in Hendricks County used to have a repeater on 155.535.Now they are on Safe-t and 155.535 is still used as a car to car with the repeater still in operation.

I could nearly careless about my 3 digital scanners now that I cannot hear my own county. They will seldom be used now.

Default IDOC Talkgroups Update Time

OK, IDOC has over the last couple of years, made massive changes to facilities, operations, etc... A lot of the TG's we have listed are no longer valid. For example, ther is no longer an juvenile faciltiy in Indianapolis, thus the old Indiana/Indianapolis Girls School which then became Indianapolis Juvenile Facility, no longer exists. I was able to confirm that the TG originally thought to be the "IGS" one on the IDPSC TRS is in fact the Liberty Hall TG. Liberty Hall is an mutually used facility, contracted to both Marion County Sheriff, and IDOC, and is used by IDOC to house both male and female work release inmates. LH is one of 4 work release housing facilities in Indianapolis. SO we need to pay extra close attention to SAFE-T and get the correct usage, and depreciation for the IDOC TG's. This data will come in handy when SAFE-T transitions to P25 in the next few years.

** And to update, the Indiana Women's Prison Facility TG's are still correct.**

Another thing to notes is frequencies, I ran into one incorrect or depreciated listing on the Hendricks Country simulcast SAFE-T system but can't give the correct one because Unitrunker cannot correctly populate the frequencies from the control channel. The incorrectly listed one is 864.387.5 MHz while all the others are indeed correct as currently listed.
