Default Indiana State Patrol

I travel to Indianapolis several times a year, and use a BCD396XT while on the road. I'm new to Trunk Tracking and I'm trying to listen to the State Patrols while enroute. Do I have to program every county system along the way, or is there one system for the state? I've been able to program Indy PD and FD, and Marion County, but I can't seem to get the State Patrol.
Thanks in advance for any programing help.

Indiana State Police (not Patrol) utilizes the statewide Hoosier SAFE-T trunked system. Depending on your route, you'll need to program the corresponding tower sites and ISP districts - everything is outlined here, including which counties/districts correlate.

Word of caution in Indiana, if you are not a ham radio operator, be ready for a world of flack from the police and possibly a ticket for having it in your car. If you are a ham radio operator, I would encourage you to carry a copy of the Indiana law as well as a copy of your cert and be prepared to stand your ground respectfully.

The Indiana Scanner Law is Indiana Code IC 35-44-3-12. The law is very clear on this matter, Ham radio operators fall under section (6) of this law.

Smile Scanning Indiana

Thanks for all the advise. I'm a PO and carry my ID's, so I'm not too concerned with having it in the car, but I appreciate your information.
Thanks again, Linneweh
