Default Remote Control Frequencies

My company is currently using some Remote controls that operate in the following frequency range. I need to know if there are any license or approvals needed to have a remote control operate at these frequencies. This remote control is used to open and close a gate. I was thinking there was no licensing or approval needed for remote controls.

frequencies:

433 - 435 mhz
448 - 450 mhz
456 - 458 mhz

Well it would help a lot if you mentioned what country you are in.

Is it commercial/consumer remote control equipment?
What type of transmitters/receivers are you using?
And as asked, where are you located?

It probably operates under Part-15 unlicensed.

If anything is written on the label or operating instructions, it might give more clues.
