I came across this in my search for a good system to use for my organization,

Does this system have the ability to work with XTS or any other P25 radios?
Does it still require a system key from the radio dealer?
and does anyone know how many talkgroups this will support?

Also, does anyone know what else is required to run this system? does it need another repeater or anything like that?

This system is fully P25 compliant, so if your XTS/other P25 radios have the correct software load, P25 Trunking for non-Motorola, or as Motorola calls it, 9600 Baud Trunking, then they will work.

The system does come with a unique system ID, so you do have to obtain a system key from the radio manufacturer, which would not be a problem if you were the system owner.

Daniels Electronics are some fine people to work with. It might be in your best interest to call
them and ask them the same question. I am sure they have been through this before. Motorola
has become a little testy recently about system keys for systems that they didn't install. With
other companies coming along with workable P25 equipment, Motorola is starting to slip some
in the market share. This is the cause for the hard time they are giving people looking for a
system key to go with their radios you own.
