Default Tech Help on ID-ing a Crystal-Locating a replacment

ok.so i just snapped this clean off the board of a radio, long story short, cocktails,a drill and electronics do not mix.
nice clean break,no damage to the radio, just the part,i believe its a crystal,it had a thin, almost quartz wafer like connection between the 2 leads.

Is it indeed a crystal, and wheere -o- where can i get one..
thanks gents!

heres a pic...

You should be able to obtain a replacement from any one on the list below.

Crystal Manufactures

Exploring and expanding the capabilities of quartz crystals

Crystals, oscillators, filters, precision crystals, TCXOs and more from International Crystal

Bomar Crystal Company | surface mount oscillators, quartz crystals, watch crystals, clock oscillators, precision crystals, surface mount crystals, surface mount VCXOs, microprocessor crystals OCXO, OCXO’s, TCVCXO, TCXO, TCXO’s, VCXO’s

Supermodulation.com .::. Homepage

Manufacturer of custom quartz crystals, filters, oscillators. Tight specs, quick deliveries.

You will need to supply them with the make & model of the radio
and if possible the part number(as much info as you can give). I
have used bomar in the past and they were great to deal with and
never had to return any of the crystals from them.

I can't see the lead end of the unit in the pic. Is there enough exposed lead coming from the crystal to solder to the leads that were once attached? It will require a small solder tip and only kiddie cocktails.

My suggestion ...
The top link that Fineshot1 gave you is for Jan Crystal, down in Florida, Call 'em on the phone, tell 'em you're mailing them a crystal that you need a replacement for. Get a new one and the old one back in a couple of weeks. Just send 'em the crystal, let them figure out what you need.
I've dealt with them many times, very happy with their work.

set me up with a parts radio to cannibalize for a xtal..

ive gotta say i do enjoy the RR forums and site in general,
minimal BS and not to sound cheezy, but plenty of folks that are all
about forwarding the knowledge to school others..

ill be sure to take pics of the work and post em in the RS Scanner section..
keep growin and expanding the reference db right!?
