It's going to depend on what product lines you are programming. I had a Win7 64 bit computer that would not run the Pro series CPS until Motorola came out with a fix. But the Commercial series runs fine on it. Older stuff is iffy. I have the Radius 1225 version 4.0 software, but it doesn't like my 32 bit Win7 machine. However, it runs great on my older XP desktop.
I have some Kenwood and Vertex software but haven't tried them on anything newer than an XP machine.
I can offer tips and such on some Motorola stuff, but haven't spent any time with any other manufacturers software or radios.
