Alinco Part 90 radios
I was at the IWCE show today and I saw the GRE/Alinco booth had these new "Part 90" radios under the Alinco brand name. Some of them look awfully familiar.
I'm not into these low end radios, but I know some are. The pictures are a bit blurry, too much coffee this morning. Anyway, here they are:
Dual Band handheld, looks familiar...
VHF handheld. The coffee was kicking in, so it was a bit shaky...
And a slightly familiar looking VHF mobile. It has the "data" port on the front just like the Alinco single band ham radios. Looked to be a soon to be part 90 version of those. The sign next to it was the standard "not for sale" sign mentioning the not FCC type accepted yet schpeel:
If someone is familiar with the tidal wave of low buck Chinese radios and can match these up with other brands, that would be interesting to see.

Here is a bit of info on the Alinco DR-138:
Alinco DR-138
25 watt, 136 - 174 MHz.
The Alinco DJ-A100 is interesting, The Alinco Website has an Alinco DJ-A10 that looks identical, so this might be a typo on the sign.
5 watts, 136 - 174 MHz, receives 76 - 108 MHz also. Looks to be 128 channels.
The top picture, the dual bander, appears to have a model number of IP-670, but it's a bit blurry. A quick web search turned up http://www.alibaba.com/product-gs/55...ham_radio.html Mass produced Chinese radio branded to your company name if you buy enough...

Those 3 photos were all I took. As I said in the other post, I wasn't there to look at scanners.
The VHF mobile and hand held really looked to be Alinco through and through. The mobile is a DJ-135 2 meter radio that's been opened up. It's waiting on it's FCC approval, but it looks complete and ready to go.
The dual band hand held was NOT Alinco. It had the cheap/cheesy feel to it of a low buck mass produced radio. If you go to this page, you'll see it: Kyd 136-174/400-480 Mhz Ctcss Dcs Fm Two Way Radio Ip-65 Ip-670 Pc Programmable - Buy Two Way Radio,High Quality Walkie Talkie,Longe Range 5w Radio Product on Alibaba.com
Its a KYD radio that they will brand for other makers if you purchase enough quantity. The radio at the booth didn't have a Alinco name on it, so likely it's a sample or a early model. The model that I took the photo of was identical to the one on the web page I linked to, except it didn't have the KYD logo on it.

Wonder if these are actually fully narrowband compliant, 7.5KHz steps and all...I have my doubts.
