Your PM's are not private and the administration has the right to read them if there's a hint to criminal activity.

If you are having trouble legally obtaining software please state so. We do not want any hurt feelings when your vague post is mistaken for a free request. It is YOUR responsibility to properly word your request.

To obtain Motorola software see the Sticky in the Motorola forum.

The various other vendors often permit their dealers to sell the software online (i.e., Kenwood). Please use Google or some other search engine to find a dealer that sells the software. Typically each series or individual radio requires its own software package. Often the Kenwood software is less than $100 so don't be a cheapskate; just purchase it.

For M/A Com/Harris/GE, etc: there are two software packages that program all current and past radios. One package is for conventional programming and the other for trunked programming. The trunked package is in upwards of $2,500. The conventional package is more reasonable though is still several hundred dollars. The benefit is you do not need multiple versions for each radio (unlike Motorola).

Does anyone know if some 3rd party or free software is available that will program a BK KNG-p150? We did buy the cable and software from Relm but it is our fault we ordered the wrong software. even tho the model number is plastered all over it and shows up on the splash screen, apparently we got the wrong version.

well, I guess I will call them tomorrow to see if I can get the *right* software to configure this. The software I got installs rndis drivers so you use it as an ethernet gadget, the thing is the computers do not see it as an ethernet gadget, but it does install the usb drivers

well, this time when i called them they hooked me up with the right software, no charge. it does program oddly in my opinion. however it loads real quick so if you dont like the program it takes a few seconds to change. pretty good little handheld, I am sending out 150 or so and will see how well it works out for the guys.

How are the RELM radios working

HI Chief,

It's been almost a year now, so can you tell us about your experience with the KNG p-150s? Thanks
