Hey I have read some conflicting things about programming cables for the tait 2000 one is that I can make a direct cable with a few jumpers on the db9 connector as seen here T-2000/II
Or do I need one with the max 232 chip.
Also I want to do some data decoding and have a line interface board in the radio and set the board to output de-emphasised audio on one of the db9 pins. What would work best and safest for the radio giving it's going into a computer?
A normal serial lead then run whatever program I want if it has a serial option for input
Or
Make a db9 to 2.5mm audio jack lead and into the mic port of computer.
