Cedar Rapids ATV chase
At about 2:30 Thursday morning a CRPD unit came over the radio he had spotted a red ATV. The driver spotted the officer at the end of the 12th ave bridge on the S.W. side, he then hauled ass across the bridge down towards cargill. I could hear his engine roaring over the scanner traffic, he was blacked out and continually would park for about 3 minutes in different areas around metro high school and jane boyd.He lost the units after hauling it down towards rompot along the river. Units were unable to find him after a 2 1/2 hour search.
