I know what regular patrol is and transport is t??? But I heard a g??? Today. What is g??? And is there anymore id's that I don't know

I can't find the old thread on this, but there is one. IIRC, its some sort of Federal agency or a High Risk Unit. Don't really remember all the details.

C units are Conservation
I units are DCI/Drug Enforcement

I remember reading the discussion on another scanner list. I think it was mentioned they were Federal Probation. I hear the "G" units on Cedar Rapids State as well.

According to my source in the DPS Radio..............the G cars are Federal Probation

The DOC HRU teams are usually on City or County frequencies

T is NOT transport..............It is DOT MVE
