Tg 2102

Picked up sheriff 2 calling for sheriff 9 on the West Mineral tower using talk group 2102. I haven't heard of any Sheriff's departments getting on board with KSICS. Labette County had been playing with the 800 several months ago. Anyone else hearing anything?

Leavenworth county is signed up to come on board and the radios are apparently sitting in a warehouse in Topeka. The honcho here says they'll go in service in 2009. A new tower has been installed on the hill overlooking Tonganoxie and the Motobridge equipement and freqs. have been installed and are working.

Heard them again this morning. Sounded like one was in Arcadia but didn't have very much signal strength. Could be Crawford County... will continue to monitor.

I haven't heard any sheriff units on KSICS at all and I monitor West Mineral quite a bit... I'll keep listening though and see if I hear anything.
