Default Anybody get new scanners for X-mas besides me?

Wife bought me a new Pro-197 for the car. It is a nice scanner.

Well, not really. But I did finally get around to switching back to Windows from Linux on my computer, so it feels like I have a new scanner since I'm able to control it from the computer now! Haha.

Default New Scanner for XMas

Not "new" new, but I found a BC898T in mint condition for cheap, then my wife "gave" it to me for Christmas.

Works great in Wichita.

Close enough, picked up my very first scanner this week as a bday present to myself. BC246T, seems pretty cool, heard some decent things about it.
Been drinking from the firehose for 2 days trying to understand how all this stuff works (which lead me here obviously), but somehow I've gotten a couple of the local LE freqs set and have heard a little bit on them.
I'll be over on the wiki if you need me...
