Default New COW radio system

Country Stampede time again!

Is there anyone around Manhattan or Pottawatomie County who could check the 700 band for KDOTs new 700 MhZ portable TRS that they have mounted on their two communicatons on wheels (COW) trailers? My information is that it is a 6 repeater, 100 watt portable system that can quickly be set up anywhere in the state for special events or disasters. They usually set the system up on the east end of the Tuttle Creek dam.

I have been looking through the FCC databases but haven't been able to find the licenses for these. It is difficult to search for them as they aren't at a fixed site- but if I had some actual frequencies I might be able to track it down.

I guess we can disregard on this one. Apparently, the new system had "issues" and they had to shut it down. Stampede continued to use the 800 Mutual Aid Tac channels.

I heard they had the same problem with it in Salina last week.

It would be the same problems they had in Chase County from what I heard too.
