Default JOCO/DOUGLAS County Freq. Questions

Two questions but didnt think it was necessary to start two threads.

1. Can anyone point me in the direction of a frequency for LifeStar Helicopter? They are out of Lawrence unless I am mistaken, I thought I had a frequency for them that worked at one point but now I can't seem to find it. Reason I ask is since JOCO lost LifeNet, western JOCO has been depending on LifeStar for any air transports. I have LifeFlight out of Harrisonville but have not heard them in the JOCO area for any transports. I see LifeStar pass over my home a few times a week, probably coming and going to KU MED. Just would be interested in seeing what I can pick up from them.

2. Anyone happen to know the frequency for the City of Shawnee's Public Works Department or any other Shawnee non-PD frequencies? I have searched and looked through the list for the JOCO in the database on here and the frequency for PW seems to be an outdated one. Have had it programmed for more then a year and have not heard anything from it. The freq. that I have that I do not hear anything from is 155.925. Also if Shawnee FD has a talkaround channel similar to OPFD or Lenexa FD's

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

Default Shawnee PW

Sir:

Shawnee PW freq is still 155.925. However, PTT phones are used extensively by most city department. The FD uses them a lot. They have no dedicated SFD frequencies, they use the JoCo system. The most activity on PW is during the day, after 5pm, the FD sometimes use it as a 'private' channel. It is simplex, so range is limited.

Also, the Helicopters will typically be on the M/A freq (154.280) once called for a response although they may be asked to go to any of the county freq.

Thanks for the quick replies. I knew the Shawnee FD used PTT phones pretty extensivly didn't know if they had something else as a backup the same as OPFD and Lenexa FD.
