goes from analog to digital P25 program, doe's that department get a new frequency # & do they get what is called a

Yes, they will be assigned a talkgroup ID if they switch over to the KSICS system. The text tag will be whatever the database admins decide to type in. As far as getting a new frequency...no, they will likely be heard on the Leavenworth County Simulcast Site of the Statewide system.
