Default Somebody got new radios

I was in Louisville today taking a back route and passed by Radioland, and the parking lot was full of police cars. Gray with Red Lettering, Police large and agency smaller in script underneath.

And I forgot to look to read the name, Heavy afternoon traffic. I almost doubled back but didn't. Any ideas on who?

It's Jeffersontown Police, don't know if new radios or just new cars getting equipment put in.

Last time I was in J-town they were using gray and blue cars. Did they change or did you mean JeffersonVILLE?

Don't know, it was in script and hard to read. But RCS is Jeffersonville's radio supplier and I'm sure by default equipment installer.

But I try and avoid both places, ville or town

Politics... the people there have no accountability.
And second traffic, Hurstbourne and Taylorsville rd.

So did they get new cars? I don't think Jeffersonville has red lettering, though I have not spotted one of their cars in a while.

In other words, the same as Louisville accept they have a good police department and good public works people. I think you must have seen Jeffersonville because J-town just changed their cars a couple years ago to gray/blue, I don't think they would do it again so soon.

J-Town doesn't have script lettering. They did change their lettering and design a year or two ago, but still have gray cars. You can see what they look like here: Welcome to the Jeffersontown Police Department.

If it was Jeffersonville he saw, maybe it has something to do with the SAFE-T system.

Sorry, haven't been on in a while...Jeffersontown just got 6 new cars and 2 Explorers. One of the explorers is going to be unmarked and one will be marked. No new radios yet but might be getting something from LMPD on the Metro system when they go live and have been tested. Most of the cars will have at least 2 antennas on them and the unmarks will get the little round antennas. The vhf look like coke cans and the uhf are shorter.....
