Exclamation Ky State trooper caught in high water P13

Post (13) I was listning to the scanner at 2.34 am,I am not 100% sure but i believe there is a trooper stuck in his car under high water in the hazard area,I was kinda dozing when it caught my attention,Other troopers are trying to get to him,Roads are blocked from mud slides and they can't get to him I am trying to get caught up on the story as i type this..The last radio transmission from him that there was no way for him to get out of the car as the water was moving 50mph and coming up on his hood,I heard the dispatcher try to call for him and no answer as of yet maybe his battery got drowned out.I am still listning trying to get the full story.Ok it's in the harlen Ky area near a school.Looking at the radar that town is getting a washout..They have called out a swift water rescue team..2.45 am..Another troopers car has drowned out in the water trying to get to him..Just about seems impossible to get to him as all roads to him are blocked by water or mud slides..Oh hell i just heard them say he's in the water..2.49 am..I will edit this as i get more info..Ok the guy who i think is a trooper is caught in some brush and one other person is now in the water with him possibly a failed rescue attempt..They have called out fish & wildlife & the army corps of engineers..Still trying to verify that this is in fact a trooper and i do think it is..One trooper called in that he lost his hand held radio..It was a trooper he is on dry ground ksp unit 1423..Thank god the fire department got to him at 3.03 am and i think they have saved the other victem as well..Good ending to a scary situation..Trooper indicates he needs no medical attention he is fine and it was in fact the fire department that pulled him from the water..And i am sorry for those of you that slept thru all of this very interesting..kept me on the edge of my keyboard..LOL
