Does anyone monitor the Nextel System in Louisville? It appears thru the FCC data base that this system has become a multi-license SMR rather than an LTR.... there are some systems listed that have had little or no apparent activity in a year or so including updates... If any of you live within ear-shot and could spare some scanner space to confirm these systems still exist or provide some new info it would be awesome!
Thanx!

I've been picking up 155.835 in central kentucky here lately but can't tell what it is. It's P25 digital and it sounds like some kind of police department. I live in Taylor Co.and was searching the other night and come across it. I programmed it in and I've heard a little traffic on it but it's hard to make out what they are saying. thanks

Could Edmonson SO have switched to P-25? The db lists them using that frequency in the analog mode. Can you hear them good enough to amke out any roads or businesses they are talking about.

Was in Nicholas County and 156.165/131.8PL came booming in.... that is the old Sheriff freq in Nicholas County.... times given were central (one hour earlier than where i was at the time) and after a while oneof the officers talking addressed his transmission to "Columbia"..... didn't sound like skip, rather sounded like an input freq firing the repeater in Carlisle but nothing really matches from Adair County.... quizical!

Only wish someone would actually use a call sign for an ID so we could figure this one out!

Default Nextel Sys Id 3332

I have been picking up this system in Louisville area.
Control Channels 858.0875; 859.0750
My guess for the next two are 857.0875 & 860.0750

Anyway, this system seems to be part of a linked system covering most of Kentucky between Louisville and Lexington.

The sysid came back to Lexington system, but I cannot believe that I was receiving Lexington. It is more local to me, and I found a match in the FCC database in Louisville.

Anyone want to give a listen and see what they hear from their area.

AL

If you are using a scanner that decodes the PL tones then there will be a read out along with the freq... what kind of scanner are you using? Check your PM's...

Question unidentified freq.

Hello all!! I live in Barbourville and I enjoy scanning to the fullest. I have a pro-2096 and a pro-2051. Today I was doing a little searching and I came across 155.32500 with a pltone of 97.4 I think. But when I search the database I come up with nothing matching the pltone, I first thought it was my local ems crew but following the tramsmissions it was not. Dispatchers addressed there units medic - ###. I also think I heard something named westfield but not for sure. Can anyone help me out on what I Heard. Thanks Jason..

Monitored in Versailles: 154.51500/77.0 PL it is a mobile and the voices I heard the first few times I recognized as firefighters, then this afternoon the same, familiar voices also used unit numbers that coincide with those voices....

cbrrider06: While in Laurel County earlier this week I monitored 155.325, the units identified themselves as Knox County EMS to Marymount Hospital.... their tone came up differently twice, the first was 151.4 PL (as listed) then it decoded as 156.7 PL.

Does anyone visit Kentucky Speedway in Gallatin County? Whilst snooping for other stuff this popped out at me:
154.815/159.030 (WQFS637-licensed to KSP)
200 STATE POLICE MOBILE RADIO & MOBILE REPEATER STATIONS
5120 SPARTA PIKE SPARTA, KY GALLATIN County

Has anyone monitored this?

I'm coming up with some odd talkgroups on the New Lexington TRS... I'd identify them, but nothing is being said. The talkgroup will appear, and lock the scanner up for about 6 seconds, then it goes to searching talkgroups again...

I forgot what number it was.. Next time it appears, I'll edit and list it.
