If you are having trouble legally obtaining software please state so. We do not want any hurt feelings when your vague post is mistaken for a free request. It is YOUR responsibility to properly word your request.

To obtain Motorola software see the Sticky in the Motorola forum.

The various other vendors often permit their dealers to sell the software online (i.e., Kenwood). Please use Google or some other search engine to find a dealer that sells the software. Typically each series or individual radio requires its own software package. Often the Kenwood software is less than $100 so don't be a cheapskate; just purchase it.

For M/A Com/Harris/GE, etc: there are two software packages that program all current and past radios. One package is for conventional programming and the other for trunked programming. The trunked package is in upwards of $2,500. The conventional package is more reasonable though is still several hundred dollars. The benefit is you do not need multiple versions for each radio (unlike Motorola).

How do I find which model radios would be compatible with my remote mount control head?

You have a photo of your remote mount control head then? Your making this sound like you have something, but not sure what it is.

I don't see a kit or model number on it to match with the radio. I would like to verify before I buy a used radio that is not compatible. Thanks for any help you can offer.

That is a krk10 remote head kit, does it say nexedge on the top of it? If so the nx700/800 goes with that head. The tk5x20, p25 mobile works on it also.

Then that would go to a TK7180/8180 analog radio.

The remote kit however, goes with several radios, mainly the 3 I mentioned. Nx700, tk5720, or tk7180

Not being band specific, just general statement

Since it says S A B C, it's from a TK-x180. If it had a menu and back button, it would work on either a P25 TK-5x20 or an NXDN NX-x00 radio.
