is there any way to change the priority channels without taking it back to the dealer? thanks.

Ask the person who programmed it, if it is programmed for "selected channel" as the priority channel, or is it fixed. You want it to be selected channel.

You don't always want it to be selected channel. Depending on your preferences, check out the OPERATOR SELECTABLE feature. You don't need a computer to change the priority channel, and can change it as your on the move.
