The new radios have MDC which sent a code so disp can know how useing what radio. Has beep at end of Tx. My Question is can Kenwood radios Tk760,Tk790.Tk2180 do the MDC like motorola radios?

Yes, but the standard for Kenwood Radios is DTMF. You would have to purchase a third party MDC1200 encoder to be programmed and installed in the radio. Cimarron Technologies manufactures ANI products compatible with MDC-1200, GE-STAR, FleetSync, and DTMF formats and at one time were installed in and shipped by Kenwood when MDC 1200 capable units were ordered.

If you have a TK2180/3180 or 7180/8180 there is a new firmware upgrade that allows MDC-1200 to be encoded and decoded without the need for the add-on board.

Yup, forgot about the TK2180/3180 or 7180/8180 series.

Yep, if you're a dealer or have access to Kenwood Tools, it's K 1.19.00 for the MDC add-on.
