Default TK-8180 programming

Wayne h,
A serious answer to the question on programming.

I used a cable i got for the TK-880, lots available on Ebay for around $15 including shipping.

I like the remote cable, have not seen any around except new.
I found the kenwood software easy to use.
Mine is the 400-470 meg version.
I wonder why the 450-520 version cost more?

How do you like the KRK-10 remote kit?

Well for the way I wanted to mount a radio I chose to go with the remote kit KRK-10. I mounted the RF deck in the rear of my 04 explorer in the recessed area on the rear panel and ran the head to the front. I got it brand new for $81.90 to be exact. I didn't notice that the 8180 450-520 was a higher price? Usually the only thing that adds cost is a higher watt output. I purchased mine brand new for only $330.Antenna was $70 and the cable was $23. Im not new to the install world I am new to programming I carry a 12v vehicle cert. We always had people that just did programming -JOEYD

By the way I wasn't looking for an illegal copy of the software just looking for a place to get the software on the less expensive side that was all. I don't even download music for free. -JOEYD
