Default NX-700/800 25 Pin accessory connector

Can anyone post the pinout of the 25 pin connector?

I can't seem to find much info, the software shows what's programmable on the programmable pins but how about the rest?

I am aware of pre-emphasized RX audio being available, but how about flat audio? Anyone have a clue?

Looks good to me, doesn't look like there's a way to get flat audio out of it though :-/

AFO is filtered, squelched audio.
DEO is raw discriminator audio

Well hey wonderful, because I could use both.

I have an SVR200 attached to one, which is programmed to use filtered audio, whereas the phone patch attached to another requires flat discriminator audio.

Yup, whipped out the soldering iron and redid my accessory plug and now the audio, via flat discriminator, is working as it should.

Thanks for the help, that .pdf is now saved in my radio manual library.

Could you please explain how to use these pins ? Could I connect a microphone (electrect) to pin #6 (MI2)and hear the signal (voice) on these 2 pins (AFO and/or DEO) ? Please help. Thanks

Hi, did you performed a test with microphone by connecting directly to pin MI2 (pin #6) of DB25 ?

Could I use the microphone (with J45, 8 pins) connecting to this pin #6 ? How do you test the audio output from microphone ?

I'd have to check my notes at work, but we interfaced a telephone style handset to some of our NX-900's (the 800MHz version of this radio) It works just fine. We fed audio from the mic into one of the pins, audio out from the speaker jack to the handset base which has a speaker that disconnects when the handset goes off hook. There is a PTT line, also.

Programming of the pins is required for PTT. It's actually a pretty simple set up.
You'd need some bias voltage for your electret mic, but if you used a dynamic mic, you'd be OK. Pretty easy to add accessories to these radios.

"Programming of the pins is required for PTT" means to activate the microphone (connected to pin#6, MI2), other pin I/O (pin#12, AUX07, for example) has to be programed as Input "External PTT (voice)" ?
Please check with your note if it is the same as you have done.

I use micro dynamic so I can hear/see the voice signal at pin #17 (AFO) ?

Did you use the "DI" (pin#5) ?

Correct, one of the I/O pins needs to be programmed for external PTT voice.

AFO is audio output, and I don't think you will be able to hear your own voice there, but it's worth a try. That is usually for feeding an external source.
DI pin is for data, not for audio. I did not use it.

I'm not at work today, so I don't have those notes. I'll be in the office tomorrow and will post them.

Today, I test with the radio as thinking with micro. It works in "PA" mode (Public Announcemnt). We have to amplify the audio signal to here the sound at internal speaker. And I can see the signal at pin AFO too. I think in the transmission mode is the same.

I have activated the PA mode by using Key Assignment (square key). I don't know yet how to activate this PA mode through the DB25 connector. Have you tried this option ?
