Default Question w/ TK-2312

Hey guys, I just recently aquired a 2312 from my local fire department, they set them up prior to me getting one, and really didnt tell me a whole lot about the 2tone paging part. The issue I have just noticed is when I have it set to the pager only channel, it goes off as it should when the page is sent...talks for a few seconds then begins to beep again, thus covering up the rest of the dispatch information..any idea on how to keep this from happening or what I might try..

I dont have access to the program yet but i'm fairly familiar with kenwood as i used to have a 2212

I take it that the radio is a deptment owned radio. That being the case, do not do any thing to it. Take it back to the radio shop and tell them what the problem is.

Is sounds like the pager timer is set to short.

The radio can be programmed to beep once or numerous times and the interval between beeps. If it's new, I second the idea of taking it back to whoever programmed it and explaining the glitch. In the mean time, if you can grab the radio after the alert and press any button, the beeps should stop.
