TK270G - alignment using keypad
I have successfully programmed my TK270G using KPG-56D v3.2 and a pure DOS laptop.
I could use the software to accurately align the squelch threshold levels and front end but I will need to build an adapter to enable an external audio output/speaker. When you plug in the programming cable it disables the internal speaker.
However, the TK270G is capable of being aligned and programmed using the front keys so you can still use the internal speaker.
I have read the service manual instructions and basically know how to use the front keys for aligning BUT there is one area I am not sure about...basically using the key to "adjust 5 or 3 point tuning"...what does this mean? All the other keys are clear....[>] to select adjustment item, tuning knob to change values, [<] key to write new value etc...but what is the 5 or 3 point tuning all about? I'm guessing that it toggles thru, say, low, medium, high values once you use the [>] key to select the relevant item to adjust?? But I want to get some guidance before I start !!
Hope someone can help who has used the keypad to align a TK270G before.
