Default Nexedge emmission designator

I have been useing my nexedge repeater as a analog only with a designator 11K2F3E. I am switching to 6.25 nxdn, but I will still be using analog also. I have some questions.

Do I need to do a new frequency coordination or can I just modify my old license?

Looking at the designators for nxdn

4K00F1E 6.25 kHz single channel digital voice
4K00F1D 6.25 kHz single channel digital data
4K00F1W 6.25 kHz single channel digital voice and data
4K00F2D 6.25 kHz single channel analog CW ID

I need the one for voice, I don't have have any current plans to use data now but should I add the the data one also? Or should I use the 4K00F1W which is for both. Reading an old post there is also a designator 4k00f7w (nexedge voice and data for a license holding greater than one frequency for nexedge use.) Since this is a repeater license do I need to use 4K00F7W instead? Nexedge emission designator

Do I have to add 4K00F2D also?

I'm guessing I have to keep 11K2F3E for the analog use but what other designators do I need to have on my license?

Thanks

I would go with 4K00F1W for voice and data, rather than the 2 seperate ones. Also your repeater needs to have a CW ID on it, so you will need F2D also.

If you plan on using analog on 6.25, there won't be a designator for that because analog 6.25 isn't physically possible. The bandwidth for an analog talk path is somewhere around 8khz. You will need to keep the radios 12.5khz for analog use, so you will need to keep the 11K2F3E.

Here are the available emission designators available in a NexEdge radio:

16K0F3E, 11K0F3E, 8K30F1E,
8K30F1D, 8K30F7W, 4K00F1E,
4K00F1D, 4K00F7W, 4K00F2D

Obviously, 16K0F3E can't be licensed anymore.

If you are interested in playing with the different options, I'd apply for all of them. If you even want to do data, you may want to try 12.5KHz NexEdge, it will give you more data transmission speed than 6.25KHz.

And, as CommJunkie said, you will need to license for 4K00F2D so you can do CW ID. Even if you run in 12.5KHz digital, the CW IDing on the Kenwood repeaters is 4K00F2D.
