Default Downloading Archive Audio

Is it possible to download Audio from the archive section? I tried clicking the download audio file but it just brings me to another page with quick time player.

Thanks,
Jeff Eszlari

Jeff, you bring up a great point, it is not easy to see the download link. We will fix this..... and make it more accessible.

However, you can download each file by clicking on the link show below in the picture.

sounds like quicktime is your default player. You can change this by, going to the audio archive page, then clicking on the options (web player as shown in the photo by blantonl)

or you might have to go into your computer settings and change it that way. I would suggest google the info via there. I would tell you how, but I am unsure of your computer setup.

I would first start off by going to the audio archive page, then changing the player type.

If you're using Firefox, the action for mp3 files is most likely set to use the Quicktime Plugin in the browser. So anytime you click on a link to an mp3, it loads it up and lets you play it right there, rather than presenting the download option. You can either change the default behavior in Firefox for mpeg-3 type files, or you can simply right-click on the little download arrow and do a "Save Link As" to download the file.

Just be aware that there are several MIME types that could be related to mp3 files, and the default action really depends on how the server is setup. I'm sure Lindsay can check and advise how the RR server MIME types for the mp3 archive files are setup.

audio/mp3
audio/x-mp3
audio/mpeg3
audio/x-mpeg3
audio/mpeg
audio/x-mpeg
audio/mpeurl
audio/x-mpegurl

Thanks Guys, I was able to figure it out with the save link as button. I was looking for save target as. I was able to download it all and compile all of the audio into 1 mp3 of a working fire in Norfolk, MA. Thanks again for the help.
