If you use alpha tags in your feed please post here
I thought this would be useful to post your feed here only if you feed with alpha tags.
This will allow others to find feeds that broadcast with alpha tags and allow us to see how many are broadcasting this way.
Maybe in the process it will encourage others to do the same.
To the moderator.... are there plans in the future to have a search feature on the live feeds allowing the users to find specific feeds ie alpha tags, ham radio, aircraft ect.

PS: yes my Clearwater feed uses alpha tags!

Alpha Tags
They are in use on my feed for Newport, Middletown and Portsmouth Police Live Scanner Audio. The Fire & EMS Feed for Newport and Bristol Counties doesn't have alpha tagging yet but that will hopefully change in the near future

Hillsborough County PDs and FDs... definitely Alpha Tags.
I think alpha tags should be SERIOUSLY encouraged, unless your feed is a non-scanning, single channel.
There should be an attribute in the feed listing saying whether the feed supports alpha tags or not. What say RR-folks?

Alpha tags are nice, but require a $500 scanner to be dedicated to a feed and Windows only for software to do it.
I wouldn't mind tagging my feed, but I'm currently fresh out of 'spare' $500 scanners to dedicate.
Remember, once on a feed, you are assuring it will be a dedicated resource and can no longer really use it for whatever you want at that point.
That's why it's my old reliable Pro-2006 and not a new model.
One of these days I may sit down and figure out how to get the display info out of my 396XT for linux use, but I will never leave a Windows box up and running here.
If anyone wants to donate a 996XT or PSR-600 , I'll be glad to plug it in to my feed ;-).

I stream alpha tags on 3 out of my 6 feeds on RR. I would stream alpha tags on all of them if I could (equipment limitations). I used to make note of the streams that had alpha tags in the "status box" so that is was readily apparent to potential listeners. But now, per RR rules, I only house that information under the feed information icon.
Feeds With Alpha Tags:
Bergen County NJ Police & Fire
Manchester NH Police & Fire
Bedford, Derry & Hudson Police

You may know this but I will say it for others if you do.....I use a bc245 for my alpha tags so you don't need a 500 dollar scanner if your feed is analog.

Hi Peter! That's a great idea maybe in the new attribute box they have been talking about.

I need some help. I have a BC785D and I DL Scannercast, it works great for the audio part but will not stream the alpha tags. I didnt think uniden changed the protocal for streaming with the new scanners (396)
Is there a program or way I can stream my alpha tags. The feed that I have is 500Mhz Digital. Thanks

I use tags with my stereo feed on the right side (Douglas County Law Enforcement) Just so you all know if you click on the link under your " Feed Provider" box it will send you to your feed.
I wish we shack scanner people had a program that would decode the 2096, then I would have two feeds with tags.

Okay, I think I am done messing around with my stream for the night. I do have alpha tags on mine streaming through ScanCast.
Sorry if anybody tried listening to it today and it was offline. I have spent hours and hours and hours trying to figure out how to get the display of the radio to show up in windows media played embeded in my website like I have seen before, and can not for the life of me figure it out. So I am going to bed now, but I refuse to give up. I know it can be done, and that's how I want it. Winamps little alpha tags just don't quite cut it for me.
