The problem with you not being able to run Win500 and Streamcast(?) / ScannerCast at the same time has to do with the serial port usage.
Streaming tags requires that your serial port data be made available to the software that is streaming the audio so that it can obtain the tag information over the serial port and include it with the audio stream.
So if you are running software to stream the tags, it is going to tie up the serial port, which means you can't run Win500 at the same time and have it access that same serial port.
Using Oddcast to attempt to stream tags will not miraculously allow you to access the serial port with Win500 at the same time.
If you want to use Win500 while streaming tags, you have to stop your stream while you use Win500 or temporarily set your stream to not send the tags. In Scannercast it's easy enough to tell it to not send tags, restart it, and then do your thing in Win500... then when you are done in Win500, go back into Scannercast and tell it to send tags again and restart it.
