New Features and Audio System Changes for 10/26/2009

Folks, we've rolled out some new features and changes today.

1) Premium Subscription Access is now only given to providers who have feeds that are online and broadcasting

2) A new flag is available for feed providers to show that their feed is broadcasting alpha tags on the MP3 stream (see your feed owner page). Those feeds will have a "tag" icon next to them in lists indicating alpha tags are available.

3) Feed providers can notify users about breaking news and incident in progress broadcasting using the "News and Feed Alerts" field on your feed owner page. The field expires 2 hours after being updated.

4) Feed providers now have control over their secondary description. No Ads, no HTML.

5) Easier to see Broadcast Software Package Download on your feed owner page.

Soon, we will also be rolling out aesthetic changes to the feed pages to allow users and admins to better find additional links, content, archives etc.

I REALLY like the new feature to show which feeds have alpha tags! I hope all the feed providers that are sending the tags, indicate it on there setup page.
