Default Feed Listeners - VLC?

I was wondering if someone could tell me what VLC is? I noticed it was under my feed listeners.

# User Agent
5 Internet Explorer
1 VLC

Thanks

VLC is a media player, also known as VideoLAN. I like it because the interface is very simple and it plays just about any audio and video format without requiring codecs.

I also like VLC because it supports the text tags for scanner feeds (see below):

Will another tag friendly player (maybe even VLC) be available in the player dropdown?

Jobes, it doesn't need to be. If you want VLC to launch you'll need to edit your default program settings for MP3 streams.

Hey Lindsay,

I was thinking more in the line of a web player. Similar to the current web player but with tagging so anyone can listen/view without going through the trouble of installing more stuff....less stuff=good

Many thanks
