Pending audio feed and squelch

Hi,

I have two questions First I put in a request to be a feed profider but it's pending, how long does it usually take to approve?

Second, My scanner only applies squelch to my headphone output, I also have a back audio output but that doesn't squelch. If need be I'll use my headphone output, but I'd like to hear the scanner live, so I was wondering if there's any way to use a digital squelch or something?

I don't think you understand what the squelch setting does. Can you explain again?

Sounds like what's in the back is actually a discriminator tap not an external speaker output. It's unaffected by squelch and volume controls, just pure audio data that hits the radio after it gets discriminated by frequency. How about this, run a head phone splitter into the head phone jack, then connect one side to some external speakers and hook your audio patch cable to the computer in the other.
