Audio Check Please

We just went live yesterday and the feed seems to not be as clear as we would like.
We are currently using a handheld scanner Radio Shack 100 channel dual trunking, running into Windows Vista through a mono audio cable into the "Line In" plug.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

All of these tips have been completed.....still do not think this is the best clarity possible.

Pulling archives, it appears that your feed is really abnormally low volume. You can use tools like Audacity to check it yourself from the feed archives. I don't have any experience with online feeds, but you may want to check through your sound card and feeding software to see if you can boost the audio a little.
