Default New feed provider help needed. GRE PSR 800

I am trying to set-up a feed using a GRE PSR 800. The PC won't recognize when connected through USB. I have Scannercast software, Audacity, and EZ scan software. I am very new to this. Could someone direct me on how to provide the feed with this scanner, please? Should I use a converter from USB to COM or is using the headphone jack my only option? Your input is greatly appreciated.

To supply audio to the feed all you need is the audio cable from the scanner to your PCs line in. No audio is carried through the USB connection. Read the page below:

A USB cable would be handy for a feed if you had a PSR-500/600, or PRO-197/106, in which case you could send the alpha tags identifying the active channels being received on your scanner to feed listeners. But as far as I know, ScannerCast does not support alpha tags for the PSR-800, so connecting the USB cable doesn't help.
